Netball New Zealand Announces New Board Member
Netball New Zealand announced today the appointment of Lee Piper to the Netball New Zealand Board. Piper is the current General Manager The Radio Network Southern Region and was an augural member of Southern Team Co (the board that runs the Southern Sting) Piper’s appointment comes after NNZ board member Jane Wrightson completes her term on the NNZ Board after 9 years in December.
Netball New Zealand Chair Don Mackinnon welcomed Lee to the Board.
“Lee has a strong track record in governance and netball administration, he’s played an integral role in the success of one of our leading franchises, the Southern Sting, and has an excellent understanding of player requirements. I’m sure he’ll be valuable asset to our board,” said Mackinnon.
We look forward to working together with Lee to continue achieving the goals outlined in our strategic plan “Outside the circle”.
The appointment is effective from January 2007.
