The WBC: eleven shows around the North Island
December already?!?
Yes, it's only four weeks until the fat guy with the sack tries to climb down your chimney, eat the cookies you left out and steal your good single malt.
And he's not the only one getting around in December. The WBC play eleven shows around the North Island this side of 2007, so get your Christmas socks & dancing shoes on, grab a posse and get along...
The travelling ska showcase is in full effect this weekend, with 24 (!) of Aotearoa ska's finest climbing into the tour wagons and heading south of the Bombays. Johnny Doom & The Forcefields, Geneva and The WBC play Napiers Milonga Tango this Friday 1st with locals Boulevard Nights in what promises to be a massive night - and on Saturday 2nd we do it all again in Coromandel town at The Star & Garter. With this many peeps out & about, the shows promise to deliver a lot of knees-up fun!
The following Friday 9th December The WBC play with Geneva at an old favourite of ours, Auckland's Kings Arms.
And later in the month - Rotorua, Mount Maunganui, Hamilton, and Gisborne all get the chance to get amongst with The WBC - check out the gigs page for more info.
And remember - if you like what you hear, the debut album Hi-Fidelity Offbeat is available online at Amplifier, at the shows or at your favourite record store. Cheers!
