Peregrine Fresh Air
Shapeshifter, Kora, epsilon blue and DJ’s Recloose, Sticky Fingaz and … introducing…. Pig Out
Saturday 3 March 2007
Peregrine Winery,
Queenstown
Taking the stage once more as THE summer event of choice, Peregrine Fresh Air brings the best of New Zealand music to Queenstown on Saturday 3 March 2007.
While Peregrine Winery provides a backdrop of sweeping vistas, a lush, fully grassed amphitheatre and a guaranteed limited-capacity, Christchurch’s Fabel Music bring the cream of New Zealand’s musical acts to the Otago region.
Peregrine Fresh Air organiser and Fabel Music Director Karyn South says, “We’re so pleased to be bringing another fantastic line-up to the Peregrine stage this summer. It’s the only South Island appearance for most of the bands this summer and we know how much Central people like to party – we’ve been coming down and doing it with them all winter – and we’re looking really forward to doing it outdoors and in the sunshine.”
This year Shapeshifter will step up for a cranking set, Kora guarantee an explosive live act, epsilon blue will make a rare appearance and Christchurch darlings Pig Out make their Queenstown debut. The full Recloose live band, featuring the sumptuous vocals of Lisa Tomlins will also serve up a set of aural pleasure.
Last year the event was sold out in advance and ticket sales are limited to ensure the crowd has space to move, so music lovers are encouraged to get in fast.
The full range of multi-award-winning Peregrine wines will be available throughout the event along with a bevy of locally brewed ales. Local cuisine will be available all day, but patrons are free to bring a picnic (no alcohol) to help sustain their energy.
Gates open for the show at 2pm, with Pig Out kicking off proceedings at 2pm on Saturday 3rd March 2007.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and are available online or at Ticketek, all Play It Again stores, or directly from the vineyard. Ticket prices range from $10 for children to $60 for adults with a youth ticket also available (under 17 with ID).
Peregrine Winery is located in Kawarau Gorge Road, off the Gibbston Valley Highway 6 – a 15 minute drive from Queenstown.
