NZASN named preferred supplier for North Island

The New Zealand Academy of Sport North (NZASN) is pleased to be named today as SPARC’s preferred supplier to provide the NZ Academy of Sport regional operations for the North Island.

NZASN has six years of proven performance in providing support services for the North Island as far south as Taupo, that have had a positive impact on the performance of carded athletes, coaches and National Sport Organisation high performance programmes.

“We look forward to negotiating with SPARC and to having the opportunity to make a difference to athlete and coach performance throughout the North Island” said Chair of the NZASN Board Warwick Nicoll.

NZASN is particularly committed to working with key stakeholders to revitalise high performance sport in greater Wellington.

“We are confident that after experiencing our solutions-focussed approach and absolute commitment to providing world leading support, coaches and athletes from the rest of the North Island will be delighted with the services they receive from the Academy” said NZASN Chief Executive, Pete Pfitzinger.

Upon successful negotiation with SPARC, NZASN will implement its transition plan in order to have the NZ Academy of Sport North Island fully operational in July 2007.
