Shore & Waitakere Sounds '07
Shore Sounds ‘07
Weekend Review: Blues in the Park at Greenhithe’s Collins Park on Saturday was far from a sad affair. From the rough blues edge of Riverhead Slide to the raw energy of the Recliner Rockers with Geoff Fitzpatrick always the showman climbing all over his double bass whilst staying in time! Darcy Perry’s charismatic performance style backed by his great band including Simen ‘blue keys” Taylor on Keys had the 750+ crowd uplifted and on their feet – what a treat Greenhithe…

Waitakere Sounds '07
Weekend Review: Sunday’s Groove on the Range at Huia Reserve on the Waitakere Coast mixed popular reggae, roots and dub with a beautiful backdrop, as Huia is where the Manukau Harbour meets the Waitakere Ranges. Dan Sperbers thoughtful music provided an elegant start with Tahuna Breaks and DDUB who are currently promoting their debut album ‘Awake at Dawn’ building the energy to a climatic finale with many of the large crowd of 750+ on their feet. Great job Huia!
