Eventfinder Moves Up The Rankings

The growth in audience numbers continues at Eventfinder.co.nz, with February traffic figures well up on the previous month to 54,883 unique browsers.

Average daily unique browsers increased 27% in January and the same amount again in February.

As a comparison, Eventfinder has just under half the domestic audience of Ferrit, Telecom's online shopping mall.

"That's a pretty remarkable achievement considering the difference in marketing budgets" said Michael Turner, Eventfinder's chief executive.

"The difference is simple. They spend millions on marketing - we don't spend anything. Our growth is purely organic."

According to Nielsen//NetRatings, Eventfinder received 45,739 domestic users, ranking the site as the 63rd most popular in the country for kiwi browsers, and number 8 in the Entertainment category.

"We're aim to be in New Zealand's top 50 websites by May" said Turner. "The social networking features we're currently developing are going to help us achieve that."

Eventfinder.co.nz is New Zealand's most popular dedicated events calendar, and empowers promoters and organisers to become members and list their own events. Over 4,500 events have been listed by more than 2,000 members.
