Kiwi FM packs more into the weekday line-up.

Wallace Chapman sets the alarm clock an hour earlier as Kiwi FM's already comprehensive schedule gets a timing re-vamp and welcomes back two of its key broadcasters to a brand new afternoon show.

"You're kidding me aren't you?"
"No, we're not Wallace."
"So, basically you want me to get up at 4.50am?
"Yip."
"Really?"

It's official. From Monday, March 19, The Wallace Chapman Breakfast Show starts at 6am, meaning Wallace will be up before his bedtime, and you get more from your breakfast before you hit the office. Sounds good to everyone. Except Wallace.

The popular host of Kiwi's flagship show is not complaining too much though, as the move means more opportunities to entertain the growing Kiwi FM audience in a show that packs in the guests every day of the week.

"This is fantastic really," says Mr Chapman. "I can finish work before most people have cleared their overnight spam. It also means our loyal listeners get more opportunity to hear the show before getting an earful from Derek in sales. What a pleasure."

Of course, when you move one, you naturally have to juggle the others. So, Wammo now also gets down to business from 9am, taking fans through to midday with his usual range of music and media commentary, in-depth interviews, reviews, previews and sea views.

"I'm making nine to noon my b***h," he says. We believe him.

Lunchtimes are catered for by Jason Kerrison who brings The Kerro Radio Show and its assorted fringe personalities and ever expanding conspiracies to the new time of noon-2pm.

"This is a freaking set up," says Jason. "What? Who said that?"

Staying put from 2-4pm, and as delightful as ever, will be The Blend, Kiwi FM's highlight package and album feature show hosted by BADS Queenpin Dianne Swann.

"I have nothing to say about this," she says.

After solo circumnavigating New Zealand in his 17 foot yacht Swirly World in Perpetuity Andrew Fagan has put his sea legs away for the season and returns to the airwaves with partner in crime Karyn Hay on their brand new afternoon show Home Time from 4-6pm.

Fans of the former Kiwi FM breakfast hosts will doubtlessly expect the worst from two of the most refreshing radio personalities in the market, and will not be disappointed. Home Time promises to be just the sort of show to get you over the working day and prepared for your evening, with a mix of guests and features that will make you forget you almost got fired today. Again.

"Great news Andy," said Karyn.
"Kiki mai. Papa kura," replied Andrew.

Just so you don't have to rush home (or in case you're just waking up in the UK). Kiwi FM will simulcast the entire 3News bulletin from 6-7pm, keeping you up-to-date with all the latest news from New Zealand and around the world.

From 7-9pm Fleur Jack continues to put together the country's most comprehensive Independent, Alternative and New music show on I.A.N. Fleur has received a ton of letters from bands who are stoked to have a dedicated show that features the best new music coming out of New Zealand. It is also packed with guests helping musicians in all areas of production, law, performance and management.

Also staying in his regular spot is Nathan Muller, host of the globally-focussed Worldwide from 9pm-1am. Worldwide is all about broadcasting to Kiwis around the planet and the show has already developed a cult following in the UK where it's timing allows it to function more like a breakfast show. Funny that.

As for weekends, Kiwi FM is now home to 17 specialist shows from Saturday morning sports with State of Play, to Sunday Brunch with new host Andy Flyboy, to documentary feature the Big Questions, to commercial-free Drum and Bass with The Pleasure Centre and commercial-free Dub, Roots and Reggae with Danielle Cormack's High Noon Tea.
