Alt TV’s weekend Programme Director, Martyn ‘Bomber’ Bradbury, re-launches the station’s new weekend line-up at 12am on Saturday 21st April.

Bomber says:

“Bro, she’s a super-sweet line-up and it’s in your best interests to dig in - no commercials means Aotearoa’s alternative viewing audience has the choice to be advert free - I telethon-challenge all other music stations to better or equal our offer”.

Alt TV Gonzo Weekends: 100% Commercial Free includes alternative music genres like Grunge (Leon’s Retro Grunge Lounge 4pm Sat & Sun), Emo (That’s SO emo 5pm Sat & Sun), Alt Folk Country (Down Home Sound 3pm Sat), Indie Rock (cheese on toast 9pm Sun) and beyond (check out former Hallelujah Picasso front man, Harold, as he takes viewers beyond the subconscious in Harold’s Subversive Universe 11.55pm Sun).

bFM’s Programme Director, Aroha Harawira will host Fresh Produce, Alt Tv’s official new music show, 6pm Sat and Sun and the ever fabulous, Steven Oates will host Alt TV’s own late night gay extravaganza, Sparkle on Sunday 10pm Sun while the honorary Dr of rock, Nicky Watson gives love advice and moves Let there be Rock! to Saturday nights 9pm.

Specialist shows from genres like Drum & Bass (Roll 10pm Sat) and Prog-rock (Born to be Wild 2pm Sat) will mix with left-of-centre ‘champagne television’ like Karaoke Nites: Rejuvenating the Oral Tradition 11pm Sun and Pisstalk 11pm Sat– where well-known Auckland barman, Hans Hoeflich, serves up time-tested bar-fly philosophy with each standard drink, and stay up to date with digital culture on our MyTube – the best of YouTube show 1pm Sat & Sun.

Other highlights include stand up comedienne and porn columnist, Jan Maree, doing late-night triple x rated humour, Midnight Sat, and Bomber will also host a media review show with guests live at Verona Café on K Rd, 11am Sun.
