The New Zealand Ice Blacks won a gold medal this morning by winning the International Ice Hockey Federation Division 3 Championships at the Dundalk Ice Dome in Dublin, Ireland.
In their final game, the Ice Blacks convincingly beat South Africa 7 - 0 with goalkeeper Gareth Livingstone achieving only the second shutout of the tournament.

Tournament and Andrew Hay was named best Defenceman.
The
New Zealand Ice Blacks having remained unbeaten throughout
the tournament finished first, hosts Ireland beat Luxembourg
in their final match to take 2nd, and Luxembourg placed
3rd.
The Ice Blacks will next year move into Division 2 Pool B.
