Bomber Appointed Programme Director Of Alt TV

Mr Martyn 'Bomber' Bradbury – ALT TV's new Programme Director

*******

After the successful re-launch of Gonzo Weekend's 100% Advert Free, New Zealand's fastest growing music channel, Alt TV, today announces the promotion of Martyn 'Bomber' Bradbury to Programme Director for the station. Bomber will now have the responsibility of programming and developing all new and existing Alt TV shows and talent.

"If I thought working weekends was difficult, I now have five more days of Champagne television to create - I'm breathless just thinking about it - but I stake Thane Kirby's car on Alt TV being the number one music television station in one years time", says Bomber.

The promotion comes hot on the heels of Bomber's February 2007 appointment as Alt TV's Programme Director for Weekends, a move Alt TV founder Thane Kirby says has been key to Alt TV's continued success.

"I'll be heading to the exciting world of New Media - I keep my carpark, laptop and cellphone but dump all the wanky record company lunches. It gives me more time to spend on my pyramid marketing company - vitamins anyone?"

Before joining Alt TV Bomber was host of TV3's Qantas Media Award-nominated current affairs show Stakeout. His music industry experience includes radio DJing on Channel Z and editing New Zealand's leading music magazine Rip It Up.

Bomber also hosts Alt TV's Sunday Newspaper Brunch Club 11am Sunday mornings live from Verona Cafe, where he and a rotating guest panel critique the weekend's news media. Regular panelists include Kiwi FM host Wallace Chapman, ex-TVNZ news boss Bill Ralston, Sunday Star-Times columnist Chris Trotter, NBR journalist Ben Thomas and union activist Erin Polaczuk.
