Powerball Fever As Jackpot Hits $14 Million
Powerball Fever Ignites Kiwis As Jackpot Hits $14 Million
Lotto Powerball sales are soaring as more and more Kiwis eye up the $14 million Powerball prize which could be won this Saturday, NZ Lotteries Chief Executive Todd McLeay says.
"Our retail outlets are really buzzing this week, with sales looking very strong, as more players look to realise their dreams," says Mr McLeay.
If Lotto Powerball is won this weekend, the winner will enter the record books as NZ Lotteries' third or fourth highest individual jackpot winner.
"To guarantee their spot as our third highest individual prize winner, a lucky Lotto player would need to pick up all of the Lotto First Division prize pool and Powerball First Division prize pool, which would be an estimated win of $15 million."
"As if that isn't exciting enough, Triple Dip players are also in with the chance to win Lotto's Mother's Day promotion, of 10 trips to the luxurious Hilton Maldives and $100,000 cash," say Mr McLeay.
"Mother's Day will definitely become a memorable day for our ten Maldives' promotion winners, but if Powerball is struck it will really become the day that defines one Kiwi's life," he adds.
