Rugby trip gives $1
Million Lotto First Division bonus
A couple of Lucky
Lotto players gained more than a good game of international
rugby when they visited Wellington last weekend.
They also won $1 million on Lotto First Division from a ticket purchased at North City PAK 'n SAVE, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
The couple, who wish to remain anonymous but who are from out of town, are still euphoric about their unexpected weekend win.
"When we checked the ticket we thought we might have won a few thousand. However, it turned out to be the million, and we were amazed."
"The rugby was great as well, so it was a fantastic weekend in Wellington," they said.
"We plan to put it in the bank and just think about the possibilities offered by this much cash."
Lotto Powerball continues to jackpot and will be worth an estimated $4 million in next week's draw.
