Killer Sheep Take On The World -- Writers Room
June Writers Room
Killer Sheep Take on the World
Screenwriter / director Jonathan King (Black Sheep, The Tattooist) combined three classic Kiwi institutions, gore, comedy and the innocent sheep to spawn a GE modified killer flock in his hilarious first feature Black Sheep.
Black Sheep burst onto the international stage with a live stampede in Toronto. King and his Sheep have not looked back with numerous festival screenings and sales in over 17 countries including France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, Argentina, USA, and Singapore.
What is it about Black Sheep, a quintessentially New Zealand story that is pulling the wool from the eyes of audiences around the globe?
Script to Screen welcomes Jonathan King into the Writer’s Room this June to join special guest MC, original gore/comedy writer Stephen Sinclair (Braindead, Meet the Feebles, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers).
Come and hear King reveal the screenwriting skill behind the splatter, the process of crafting a local script with global appeal, and share insights into the co-writing of forthcoming thriller The Tattooist.
