MIC Toi Rerehiko presents

HOMEGROWN 07

The cream of New Zealand short film-making premieres in MIC's annual Homegrown programme at the Telecom 2007 New Zealand International Film Festivals.

Mic Toi Rerehiko is delighted to present Homegrown 07 at the Telecom 2007 New Zealand International Film Festivals. Now in its twelfth year, Homegrown is New Zealand's premiere showcase of local short film and features both emerging and established film makers in a diverse programme spanning drama, documentary, animation and more.

Homegrown 07 will again encompass three programmes as part of this year's festival - Works on Film, Works on Video and the first ever Homegrown: Animation.

This year's Works on Film features six films that have received support from the New Zealand Film Commission. Many of these films have already garnered international critical acclaim.

Run and Fog both screened at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, with the Mark Albiston directed Run receiving an Honourable Mention.

Clean Linen, directed by New Zealand Screen Award winner Zia Mandviwalla will also head to the Melbourne Film Festival.

Once again Homegrown: Works on Film represents your best chance to view New Zealand's most daring and innovative short film.

Historically Homegrown: Works on Video has always featured two programmes that have oscillated between drama, documentary and dance. For the first time ever Homegrown will present an exclusive programme of local animation to screen alongside a second programme that exhibits strong dramatic tendencies along with western, horror and documentary.
