Amazing DCM Volunteer
Freshly back from representing New Zealand, at the women’s wheelchair basketball Olympic qualifying tournament, Kaeti Rigarlsford is ready to resume her Bookfair volunteer work for Downtown Community Ministry.
Kaeti has been a long time volunteer for DCM.
She has collected food for our foodbank and currently assists us sort the thousands of books that are collected for our annual Bookfair fundraiser.
On Sunday she returned from Australia with the New Zealand women’s wheelchair basketball team who competed for a place at next year’s Olympics.
Kaeti says, “The team made its mark on the tournament,” and she said next time the New Zealand team would be “a force to reckon with”.
This is the first time New Zealand has entered a team into the tournament.
“But now,” she says, “I’ve got plenty of Bookfair sorting to catch up with”.
And DCM is very happy about that.
