Record breaking crowds of 30,000 Aucklanders’ indulged their culinary senses at The Food Show last year. Now in its eighth year, The Food Show is New Zealand’s largest food and beverage exhibition, and organisers are promising 2007 will be even bigger with more exhibitors, the newly created Artisan Alley, and live cooking demonstrations from national and international celebrity chefs.

“From chocolates and cheese, oils, sauces, and spreads to wines, spirits, personal chefs and even naked waiters – if it involves good food, wine and entertaining it will be on the menu at The Food Show,” says North Port Events General Manager, Rebecca Blakey.

New exhibitors for 2007 include China White Organic Tea – as seen on Dragon’s Den; The Professional Bar School who will have their award winning flair team – The Black Flair’s – performing tricks on site; and Good Water who will launch their revolutionary bio-polymer water bottle at The Food Show. Don’t miss Dine @ Home, a personal chef who will come to your house and provide a fine dining experience for cocktail and dinner parties. For the more daring, there is Dine @ Home Naked where you can hire hunky scantily clad waiters who are perfect for Hen’s parties! Favourites over the past years have been Barkers Fine Foods with their tasty chutneys, sauces and jams; Cadbury chocolate; and Old Fashioned Foods who always delight with Aunt Betty’s puddings!

“The scale and quality of The Food Show means that it really caters for all tastes, and this year we have gone to great lengths to secure an exciting line up of exhibitors and entertainment to ensure a fantastic experience for all visitors,” says Rebecca Blakey.
