After the initial two day pre-sales for TSB Bank customers the first public sales via Ticketek saw an amazing ‘one- ticket sales per second’ transacted online and by phone last Saturday. By the end of the weekend 10,000 seats of the total 15,000 capacity had already gone.
Promoter Phil Sprey of Capital C: Concerts said ‘We were astounded at the speed of the sales, and it was great to see most going to people in the Taranaki region.’ ‘From today we will expect those from other NZ locations to want to get to New Plymouth and Air New Zealand is already scheduling extra flights and packages into the city’.
The remaining 5000 seats mostly in the best lower slopes of the bowl are still available but will disappear quickly.
