OAKLEY WARMS UP THE SLOPES FOR CHICKS DAY
OUT
Leading sportswear and eyewear brand, Oakley, is
bringing some of the world’s coolest sportswomen to New
Zealand exclusively for ‘OAKLEY Chicks Day Out’ – a
day of fun on the slopes, just for the girls!
Taking place on Saturday 8 September, the day will begin in Queenstown where girls will be escorted to Snowpark for a ‘money can’t buy’ experience, Oakley style.
They will meet the Oakley Women’s Snow Team, made up of champion athletes including professional snowboarder and halfpipe 2006 Olympic silver medallist Gretchen Bleiler, and champion freeskiier Kristi Leskinen.
Gretchen and Kristi will be on hand to give some encouragement, progress their riding, and teach the girls some hot new moves to impress their friends with.
Following a hard but rewarding morning on the slopes, the girls will relax over lunch to tunes fashioned by Oakley’s talented female DJ, then be whisked off to let their hair down at one of Queenstown’s hottest venues. Furthermore, each girl will receive a goody bag packed full of great stuff, including a pair of Stockholm: Oakley’s first ever goggle designed especially for women.
Oakley’s Public Relations Manager for Australasia, Kristi Townley, says; “Oakley Chick’s Day Out is all about the girls! We want them to be out there, being adventurous and having a great time on the slopes. We really can’t think of a more fun way to spend a day than carving it up with some of the world’s best skiers and boarders – it will be an absolute blast!”
Oakley is a renowned snow brand offering premium products and sponsorship to world class athletes.
Stockholm are Oakley’s first snow goggle specifically designed for women, aimed at girls who want to keep up with the guys on the slopes, but not look like one! Oakley is also launching their second women’s ‘Uniquely Collection’ of sport inspired fashion sunglasses.
