Hartley Now Leads Eurocup By 42 Points
Brendon Hartley has consolidated his Formula Renault Eurocup Championship
lead by winning Race 2 at Donington in the UK.
Hartley started in Pole 2 in what was to be a chaotic race. Due to a number
of collisions in the early laps the race was restarted three times, but the
New Zealander held his composure and prevailed over his Red Bull Junior
Team mate Stefano Colleti and Boutsen Energy Racing’s Nelson Panciatici.
The 17
year old also gained valuable points by finishing second in
Race 1,
after qualifying in P2.
Three rounds remain in the Formula Renault Eurocup Championship, which
Brendon now leads by an enormous 42 points.
This weekend he heads to Italy for a round of the Italian Championship at
Mugello.
