Bereavement Notice Archbishop Whakahuihui Vercoe MBE PCNZM
This Office wishes to advise that Archbishop
Whakahuihui (Hui) Vercoe passed away last evening at his
home in Rotorua surrounded by his family. It is planned that
he will return to his home Marae at Torere Bay of Plenty
about a 20 minute drive east of Opotiki.
Tonight he will stay at Homaitawhiti, Otaramarae, Rotoiti. He was 79 years and is survived by his wife Doris and their three sons Graeme, Andrew and Michael and numerous mokopuna.
The funeral is planned for Monday 11am at Torere.
