Discover the Art of Spiritual Living
Discover the Art of Spiritual Living at the National Eckankar Conference at the West Plaza Hotel in Wellington this weekend (September 28-30th).
Seminar directors David Hamilton and Gwyneth Evans say the weekend will give those attending access to tools to live a more fulfilling life.
Eckankar, the religion of the light and sound of God, not only provides techniques to help solve every day problems, by remembering and interpreting our dreams, understanding past lives and experiencing soul travel (out of body awareness).
“Only the other day an article appeared in the newspaper
about scientists who were trying to understand out of body
travel. Eckankar can give people the tools so that they can
experience and understand this for themselves,” Mr
Hamilton said.
The seminar starts on Friday night
(September 28) with a talk from Lorraine Irwin, the
spiritual leader for Eckankar in New Zealand, on the topic
“See Life from a Higher Perspective”.
On Saturday there will be panel discussions, roundtables and workshops where Eckankar members will share their personal experiences and the techniques that have helped them to understand their life more fully. Topics will include: Spiritual Wisdom on Health and Healing, Experiencing Self Realisation, Spiritual Wisdom on Relationships, Simple Changes- Great Rewards and Practical Skills for Soul Travel.
“Panel discussions often highlight a problem someone has had and how they solved it using the spiritual techniques of Eckankar. These can be finding answers through a dream, or through a coincidental sign presented during one’s everyday life, or in moments of quiet contemplation.”
The keynote speaker is
Australian David Berenholtz. David is a member of the
Eckankar clergy and also a software developer, pilot,
musician and skilled guitar maker. He travels all over
Australia in his plane to speak about Eckankar at workshops.
He will be talking about his experiences in Eckankar and
will run a workshop on soul travel techniques.
