With barely standing room only, couples came from all over Canterbury to the season's first wedding show. The annual event raises funds for the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind and Child Helpline.

Bob Parker recently married his lady love, Joanna Nicholls ( now Parker), whom he introduced to the audience.

"I was very impressed when Bob agreed to open our Spring Bridal Fashion Show. Being aware that he was right in the middle of local election campaigning, yet he had no hesitation to help our charitable event", says Sharon Lingham - Your Day Trust's PR and organiser of the fashion show.

Newstalk ZB morning talkhost, Ali Jones hosted the show but not before few banters with Parker. Jones hosted the morning and afternoon bridal shows.

Your Day Trust team include marriage celebrant Anne Stubbersfield, photographers, John Nichols (Special Images) and Iris & Roger Cross (Photo Flair Weddings), and of course Lingham (Crown Limousines), along with Richard Caves (Child Helpline).

"It is also very heart-warming to see newer faces in the industry as well as those who supported us right from its inception," Lingham said.
