Te Papa’s Timewarp Closes 13 January 2008
The TimeWarp experience on Level 2 of Te Papa will be closing on 13 January 2008 and Te Papa is encouraging visitors to revisit the rides one last time over the holiday break.
From 8 – 16 March, the space will be transformed by the New Zealand International Festival’s event Children’s Cheering Carpet, a trilogy of sensory theatrical installations aimed at children, which combine digital animation and sound.
A new experience, currently in development with the Gibson Group, is scheduled to open in August 2008 and will utilise the latest interactive media technologies.
Blastback (a vigourous ride through New Zealand’s pre-history), Future Rush (imagining a Wellington 50 years into the future) and Magic Lilos (a gentle ride through New Zealand’s spectacular landscape) have been firm favourites with over 4.6 million visitors since 1998.
