The summer holidays for two lucky Lotto players in Rangiora and Invercargill just got longer and brighter after each winning $500,000 on Lotto First Division tonight, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
The winning tickets were purchased at Rangiora Gift and Lotto shop in Rangiora and Elles Road New World in Invercargill.
Lotto Powerball has jackpotted tonight and will be worth an estimated $4 million in next week's draw.
Strike Four has also jackpotted and will be worth $200,000 in next Saturday's draw.
Tonight's other big winners were Helen and Brian Skinner from Christchurch who won $150,000 on Lotto's Winning Wheel.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Supervalue Plus in Picton. The serial number is 866-08641295-20XX.
"Anyone who bought their ticket from Supervalue Plus in Picton should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries outlet," Mr McLeay says.
