Dunedin Weet-Bix Tryathlon Popular With Kiwi Kids
Almost 1000 Children Turn Out For Dunedin Weet-Bix Tryathlon
Video: The Dunedin Weet-Bix Tryathlon was on Sunday March 2nd, and 971 children from all over Otago went to Mosgiel Memorial Park to give it a go.
Registrations for the 16th Weet-Bix Tryathlon series are way up on previous years, aided by the anticipated World Record attempt to be the largest children’s triathlon in the world as sanctioned by the International Triathlon Union based in Canada.
Andrea Hewitt, an Olympic Triathlete hopeful, was in attendance in Mosgiel, awarding medals to all entrants who crossed the finish line.
Additionally, the Weet-Bix website is streaming footage from each event, recording every single child who crosses the finish line so they can capture their moment of glory on the world wide web.
