Girls’Day – the
perfect guy’s day out
Saturday 15 March is Girls’ Day at Trentham - the perfect guys’ day out, according to Trentham Racing Club’s sponsorship and promotions manager, Michelle Bare.
“What better way to meet girls than at Girls’ Day. We’re expecting a crowd of around 10,000 on Saturday to watch top-class racing – the $400,000 Group One Gillies Group New Zealand Oaks.
“But there is also plenty of entertainment, particularly in the Girls’ Village where MC Shane Cortese will track behind-the-scenes progress as six Wellington netballers get total make-overs. There will also be pole dancing for fun and fitness, fashion parades, cocktail making demonstrations, and Wellington’s funkiest band “The Eggs”will play after the last race.
“Last year the few tables of guys in the Girls’ Village couldn’t believe their luck,” said Michelle.
“Girls’ Day is a great opportunity to meet up with friends and celebrate the end of the Summer, before the switch to winter sport. It’s also a perfect place for guys to meet girls and girls to meet guys. It’ll be fun and safe, particularly if you take the train to and from Trentham,” she added.
