‘V’ back Pig Out to take on SXSW
‘V’ is proud to support electronic band Pig Out hit the greatest music festival of all time; South BY Southwest (SXSW) held in Austin, Texas U.S.A.
Back in December 2007, Pig Out supported The Midnight Juggernauts at V’s very first free Block Party in Britomart Square Auckland. After much acclaim Pig Out has been invited to play SXSW, an honour bestowed to only the greatest international up and comers on the independent music scene!
Covering costs for such a big excursion isn’t easy for many bands so having a sponsor on board to back the band has been a big help and naturally ‘V’ was the perfect choice.
10,000 bands from all over the world submit applications to perform at the 4 day festival. To receive one of the 1,200 invitations to perform there is an important mark in a bands career.
Pig Out’s fusion of electronic and rock has been gaining world wide appeal on the airwaves. To watch them live you’re in for a real treat, a compact trio of electronic extravagance supported by a mighty new wave rock temperament. Whilst abroad
You’ll soon be able to track their progress on
www.Vrepublic.co.nz, where they’ll be posting up a
documentary of their SXSW experience. Pig Out will also be
celebrating their return to New Zealand with a national tour
in March and April.
Check out www.vrepublic.co.nz to be
in to win tickets.
