Voting documents will be sent to electors of the Otara ward from Tuesday 8 July. Voting closes noon on Wednesday 30 July.
Electoral officer John Skelton reminds residents and ratepayers that it is not too late to enrol to vote at any NZ Postshop. The roll closes at close of business on Tuesday 29 July and electors who have not enrolled by now will have to apply for a special vote to participate in the by-election.
Electors can send their completed voting documents using the pre-paid envelope, or deliver them to the Electoral Office, Manukau's Civic Centre, 31-33 Wiri Station Road during normal business hours.
The vacancy was created when Su'a William Sio left his post as Otara ward councillor as he was appointed to Parliament.
