Second-annual Polar Fleece Day Coming
Soon
The second-annual Polar Fleece Day
takes place on July 8th this year, and we're aiming to raise
at least $2000 for SAFE (Save Animals From
Exploitation).
The party, organised by Victoria University of Wellington Students' Association (VUWSA) and the New Money Country Club, will be held at Wellington's San Francisco BathHouse featuring acts Cassette, Vorn, Tommy Ill and DJs from RadioActive.
Last year's Polar Fleece Day raised over $1000 for WWF's Climate Change campaign.
Polar Fleece Day was the brainchild of then-Salient fashion editors Stacey Knott and Laura McQuillan, who wrote an article on the wonders of polar fleece - an environmentally-friendly recycled textile - and invented Polar Fleece Day to celebrate their love of polar fleece.
