LAKE WANAKA,
New Zealand – Celebrity snowboarder Hayley Holt will coach
at Snow Park NZ during the school holidays and through out
the 2008 winter season.
A professional snowboarder and renowned dancer on Dancing with the Stars, Holt will take lessons as well as instructing for the Snow Girls NZ camps.
Now in its sixth year the Snow Girls NZ camps are designed to inspire and progress young female riders and skiers under the guidance of some of the best international and New Zealand female riders.
The first camp will kick-off July 5-6 for beginner and intermediates, with further camps set for August and September. Over two days and one night, campers have the opportunity to master the jumps, jibs, pipe and technical riding skills. Evening camp sessions include technical board/ski talks and yoga, stretching and video nights. One day clinics are also on offer throughout the season.
New for the school holidays is the Trick Tips Camp. Designed in conjunction with NZsnowboard.com, it has a strong focus on fun and progression of the young riders. The coaches include well-known riders from the Trick Tip DVD; Jake Koia, Nick Hyne, Nick Brown, Bevan Hall, Louis Purucker, and Shelly Gotlieb who will all offer personal training and coaching.
The five-day camp runs from 14-18 July with campers accommodated in the Woolshed bunkrooms, under the supervision of the coaches, and all meals included. Maximum time on the hill is encouraged and offers a good team building environment and the opportunity to fully submerge themselves in snowboarding.
Regular terrain park lessons are also available daily throughout the school holidays with group lessons at 10:30am and 1:30pm running for two hours. Private lessons are scheduled on request.
Snow Park NZ is also offering accommodation specials during the school holidays, a 15% price reduction on luxury apartment or ensuite room bookings. Conditions apply.
