An exhibition
of new work by final year students at Wellington East Girls'
College
August 12th – 17th
Thistle Hall, Cuba
Street
Press release:
Playing with a range of ideas, materials, options and difficulties makes for a fresh and engaging series of new work in reSOLVE currently showing at Thistle Hall. Offering an exploratory approach to recent practice, the young contributors pull together ideas and techniques that challenge and engage them in a variety of disciplines, ranging from photography and painting to design and sculpture. Each work is part of a body of 3, investigating the notion of play, experimentation and extension. The creators approach the production of work as a process involving methods and strategies not unlike an ongoing exercise in puzzle-solving.
