Conversation with Greg McGee
Script to Screen welcomes a leading figure in NZ television, film and theatre - Greg McGee - to its October Writer’s Room.
Since writing the play Foreskin’s Lament, McGee has made a major contribution to the development of our television drama - including Erebus, Fallout, Marlin Bay, Greenstone, Roche, Cover Story, Doves of War, Skin and Bone, Orange Roughies, and Street Legal. He’s also co-scripted three features and won awards for Best Play, Best Screenplay, and Best Television Drama.
McGee has just written his memoirs - which are as frank and entertaining as we’d hoped - so it’s an ideal time to get him to talk about his journey as a writer and to share what he’s learned along the way. Roger Horrocks will MC the event.
