Tourism pioneers jump for joy to celebrate 20th anniversary

Twenty years to the day after the world's first commercial bungy jump opened at Queenstown's Kawarau Bridge, tourism pioneers Henry Van Asch and AJ Hackett tandem jumped for joy.
Nearly 650 children from schools around the region visited the bridge throughout the day to enjoy the carnival atmosphere and meet their adventure tourism heroes.
There were also a series of stunt jumping displays and the day culminated in a celebratory cocktail party for invited guests.
