Three Wellingtonian’s tackle a trilogy of radical plays that are stunning and strong.
“FEWER EMERGENCIES” is the dark, humorous, confrontational and unsettling series of plays presented by the 2008 Acting Diploma Graduates of The Wellington Performing Arts Centre.
Martin Crimp the leading light of the radical UK theatre movement known as “In Yer Face” theatre is the author of “FEWER EMERGENCIES.” He describes the play as a “threat to the culture of contentment, which looks at today’s anxieties in a refreshing manner.”
Chapman Tripp Award winning actress Carmel McGlone directs these three marvelous fables. She says “It is brilliant working on these three tiny plays, they are like a Bach Sonata three movements linked by key but stand alone pieces. They contain the world - edgy, exquisite, devastating.
“FEWER EMERGENCIES” will shake you up, tear you down and make you laugh.
