Danny McCrun Band To Support Jeff Beck
We are pleased to
announce that Danny McCrum and Ben Jurisich have been
confirmed as the support act for Jeff Beck this coming
Tuesday night (Feb 3rd) at the Aotea Centre, Auckland.
Touring with Jeff Beck is a stellar line-up
including Vinnie Colaiuta on drums, Tal Wilkenfeld on bass
and David Sancious on keyboards.
The Danny McCrum Band is usually a four-piece and have developed a unique sound and a reputation for their highly skilled and memorable music. Danny McCrum has topped competitions and worked with many artists including Jimmy Barnes, Tommy Emmanuel, Norah Jones, John Mayer, Katie Melua and more. Ben Jurisich and Danny McCrum met at school in Bucklands Beach, Auckland when they were six and have been friends ever since. They started playing guitar together when they were twelve. Ben went on to perform with a wide range of acts including Pearl Runga, Debbie Harwood, The WBC and Amber Clare and officially joined the Danny McCrum Band early 2007.
The duo recently performed to rave reviews, as support for Bryan Ferry & Joan Armatrading at the Logan Campbell Centre on December 3rd & 4th 2007.
In November 2007, the band released their debut album ‘Awake & Restless’, which was produced by award winning producer Peter van Gent and the band are currently in the studio recording their second album (yet to be named) with Producer Daniel Nathan, due for release in Autumn.
