FEATURE CD / BONAPARTE – Too Much
– WIN IT!
Bringing forth a hedonist brew of
‘attention deficit disorder muzik’ is young vagabond
BONAPARTE, on a worldwide party to celebrate the release of
his album TOO MUCH. BONAPARTE aka Tobias Jundt
is a Berlin based musician, DJ and university songwriting
lecturer who has morphed from a bona fide pop star in his
Swiss homeland to a more trashy and visual music
revolutionary. The BONAPARTE electro rock thrash Zen punk
experience is simply ‘mucho fun fun fun’. A hit in the
German party capital, BONAPARTE has played everything from
illegal gigs beneath Berlin’s Alexanderplatz to the
Montreux Jazz Festival and a private show for film director
Quentin Tarantino. He’s playing at Chicks Hotel this
weekend! Win the album then check him live.
WIN
Too Much all THIS week at 8.15am on
Breakfast.
NATURAL SELECTION – STEVE ALBINI
w/ Walker & Hopo. Sunday 15th February, 6 –
8pm.
Spawning controversy as well as adulation
throughout his career as a record producer, guitarist &
songwriter, Steve Albini has made a major impact on
alternative and punk rock and rock and roll since the
formation of BIG BLACK in the early eighties all the way
through to present day SHELLAC. In his recording efforts, he
has striven to create a sound that comes as close as
possible to that of a live performance. "All I want to do
is, I want to make records that sound realistic and that
kick my ass," he declared in Chicago magazine. Albums like
Nirvana’s In Utero & The Pixies’s Surfer Rosa are plain
evidence of his rogue approach. Steve Albini w/ Walker &
Hopo. Natural Selection - This Sunday, 6 - 8pm on Radio
