How The Recession Could Be the Key to A Successful Relationship this Valentines Day

Sick to death of hearing about the Recession, doom and gloom and all the negative spin offs to expect? Most people have been focussed on the recession itself rather than their ‘relationship’ to it.

Fiona Christie, Relationship Expert has spent 10 years researching what works and what doesn’t with relationships. With the ‘Shopping List’ technique (one of the techniques in her book) she explains how many people make some of the most important decisions of their lives without a very detailed shopping list. In her example, she asks her husband to purchase some peas and biscuits at the grocery store. When he arrives home, she is surprised and not altogether happy to discover that he has brought plain water crackers and packet surprise peas. She says ‘but I wanted chocolate mint biscuits, and fresh garden peas in their pods’ and her husband replies ‘well you didn’t say’!

The lesson here is to create shopping lists for every area of your lives, however the shopping list alone is not enough – it must be
• Very detailed; and
• Include ‘how you want to feel when you reach your outcome’
