Recession, what recession?

MEDIA RELEASE 10th FEB 09

Recession, what recession?

Kiwi summers and good beer go hand in hand. With a cracking summer to date and craft beer appreciation and consumption on the rise, at least one industry has something to celebrate!

With two successful years under it’s belt, The Liquorland New Zealand Beer Festival returns to Auckland and debuts in Wellington in 2009. It is fast becoming an annual must-do feature on the social calendar.

Dubbed “anti-recession” days, the festivals are a great opportunity to dust off the doom and gloom and celebrate. With a great mix of Beer, Food, Music and Summer, the festival is the perfect opportunity to get out and have a good time with great mates!

Drink – over 70 beers from more than 25 breweries, a wide variety of local brews, with a few notable overseas visitors.

Eat – A great range of quality food to compliment beer tasting, from traditional New Zealand fare to European, Asian and Middle Eastern influences.

Listen – To an entertainment lineup with songs you know most of the words to, you can make the rest up! Featuring Autozamm, The Jordan Luck Band, SJD, The Naked and Famous, Sarah Brown, Wayne Anderson and more in Auckland. Recloose Live Band, The Tutts, Charlie Ash, SJD, North Shore Pony Club and more in Wellington.

Be There – The Festival hits Wellington on the 28th of February at Waitangi Park and returns to Auckland’s Ellerslie Racecourse on the 14th of March.
