Original Adventure Company delivers new website

One of Queenstown’s longest-established and award-winning tourism companies has refreshed its look and style with a brand new website.

Queenstown Rafting, with operations established in 1974, has launched a user-friendly version of its website www.rafting.co.nz, aimed at providing the very best and up-to-date information for consumers and trade.

The website has four clearly defined sections to visit, for those interested in serious whitewater experiences on the Shotover River, to more sedate first time rafting on the Kawarau River, a Landsborough Wilderness Multiday trip in unspoiled back country, or Rafting Combos for those who want more.

“Queenstown Rafting is one of the original adventures on offer in Queenstown that’s been around for 35 years,” said Sales and Marketing Executive Sharon Gray.

“Overall the new website is much brighter and fresher look than our previous site with plenty of images, and it’s very easy to navigate so people can find all the information they need.

“Rafting is still an iconic ‘must do’ activity for many visitors to Queenstown, but our old website didn’t reach as many internet users as it could. Using the latest technology, we can now reach these people offering in-depth information in an easy, fun format with some amazing features and a ‘real time’ secure booking system.

“We know our market is researching their activities online, so we’ve added a much more detailed Frequently Asked Questions page, access to media articles, a great profile section on our fantastic guides, videos and even 3D maps.

“If they go on a trip there’s a social networking section so they can easily share photos or email friends about their experience, and post feedback online.”

Ms Gray said the new-look site was the result of a three-month-long collaboration with Queenstown-based website and design company Swordfox.

“We’re delighted with the end result and most importantly we think our users will be too.”
