Mission Bay Jazz and Blues Streetfest
postponed to Sunday!!
New Zealand's only Jazz and Blues Streetfest has been postponed from this Saturday to Sunday due to the heavy rainfall and strong winds expected in Auckland this Saturday. The event will now be held at the same time of 6.00 PM, but one day later on Sunday 1 March.
Event Director, Richard Lindroos said “that everything will be moved back one day and the Mission Bay waterfront will come alive with a great atmosphere of music, dancing, and dining one day later.” “all advertised Saturday times apply to Sunday, for more information visit our web site www.missionbaystreetfest.co.nz”
The Streetfest has a range of New Zealand bands performing on the street, on the beach and on stages at Auckland’s most famous city beach – Mission Bay. This year the event sees headliner acts including Pugsley Buzzard (Australia), Shane ‘Hurricane’ Wills (Wellington) and Dave McCartney and Graham Brazier (from Hello Sailor) playing to the anticipated large crowds.
There are two main performance stages at the Streetfest, one near the famous Mission Bay Fountain and one on Mission Bay Beach. Tamaki Drive will be closed between 4pm and midnight to also allow bands to play on the street itself.
