Sketches Towards an
Unfinished Music Collaboration
Richard Reddaway
soundscape at Suite
This Friday Richard Reddaway will open his sound installation at Suite in Newtown, Wellington.
Reddaway has designed and built a series of speakers, blurring the lines between architecture, design and art to create beautiful objects that represent ‘chaotic growth.’
He sees his speakers like a city – an explosion of human growth where objects are built upon, creating an urban sprawl full of noise. Reddaway’s speakers are like floating islands, growing like vines would along Suite’s gallery walls.
Richard Reddaway is a contemporary sculptor and installation artist. He lectures in Fine Arts at Massey University, Wellington.
