THE RADIO ONE FEATURE CD
SOLA ROSA - Get It Together. WIN IT NEXT WEEK
His Mum calls him Andrew Spraggon, but you can call him Sola Rosa, and Mr Sola Rosa has gone and made another album and called it Get It Together. Oh! My ! God! Sola Rosa's sonic stirrings are at full force: powerful funk and soul tunes taking you down to the basement and back, the occasional Cold War spy chase, and feature vocal cuts from Spikey Tee, globetrotter Bajka , MC Serocee and emerging Wellingtonian songstress Iva Lamkum. The only thing better than a brand new Sola Rosa album, except maybe a pony, is seeing the album performed live so win the album then go see the show on the big stage down at Sammy's on Sat 28th.
WIN Get It Together all next week at 8.15am on Breakfast with Aaron.

THE DUNEDIN FRINGE FESTIVAL
Sweeping aside the lowest common denominators to make way for the finest in artistic endeavour, the Dunedin Fringe Festival is back for 2009, from March 26th till April 5th. Lo-fi, laugh out loud juggling with kitchen-sink, one-man cabaret filtered through the world of interpretive dance. Sit back and relax, we'll keep you posted with the Fringe Guide on Breakfast and Drive, give away tickets to sweet Fringey shows, and meet a bunch of artists from the darker end of the artistic spectrum. The 2009 Dunedin Programmes are out now across the city, and online at dunedinfringe.org.nz
Fringe Festival Gig Guide on Radio One 9.30am on Breakfast and 4.30pm on Drive

TONIGHT ON THE LOCAL, THE NZ MUSIC SHOW (Thursdays 7 - 9pm)
Thursday 19th
Chris Wilson is one maniacal son-of-a-bitch. In musical terms he's as restless as an agitated pit bull with an itchy arse and has turned his hand to any number of lo-fi spit-noise projects. With a fierce independent streak honed from his formative years in Invercargill and Dunedin, Chris brings the improv noise spectacular to Radio One on a flying visit from his home base in Wellington, giving us a sample of such under the radar projects as The Postgraduates, Gold Medal Famous, Full Chrome Logic and Popular Accessible Music, as well as whatever NZ music can be said to float his boat. Tune in to 91fm tonight from 7pm with Dave Local.

NATURAL SELECTION
LINES OF FLIGHT FRINGE FESTIVAL SPECIAL
This Sunday 22nd March, 6 to 8pm on Radio One.
As part of the 2009 Dunedin Fringe Festival, Lines of Flight brings sound artists from all around NZ for 4 shows at Chicks Hotel, Port Chalmers from 26th to 28th March. To prime your minds, Peter Stapleton and Alex Mackinnon will be playing a selection of tracks by artists performing at this coming, and past, Lines of Flight festivals. Originally called a free-noise festival, Lines of Flight has moved into an expanded territory collecting together improvised and experimental musics of various kinds; from the pastoral and filmic sonic constructivists to the brutal and screaming noise rock conglomerates.
The Lines Of Flight Natural Selection, this Sunday, 6 - 8pm, only on Radio One.

RED BULL LIVE SESSION NEXT WEEK
TOMMY III / Thursday 26th March, 3.30pm on Schrafternoon Delight
There are very few artists who can garner critical acclaim while taking the piss out of themselves, and Tommy Ill is definitely amongst those treasured few. His Matchsticks EP released last year is full of hyper-kinetic witticisms lain over soulful productions, courtesy of co-conspirator Buck Beauchamp, and conveys the strength of his self-deprecating live performances beautifully. So gather round the wireless this Thursday from 3:30 and prepared to be seriously impressed by someone who ain't serious at all.
Tune into the Red Bull Studio Live Session next Thursday to hear Tommy III perform LIVE! 3.30pm on Radio One & bNet wide.
