‘V’ Energy 48Seconds – Calling all (amateur) film makers!

‘V’ proudly presents the ultimate warm up competition to the infamous ‘V’ Energy 48HOURS Furious Filmmaking 2009, the ‘V’ Energy 48Seconds Mildy Furious Filmmaking competition.

So if you fancy yourself as a bit of a Hitchcock, or perhaps you need some practice before the 48 hour gig, then this is the competition for you. Running from April 8 – May 6, ‘V’ Energy 48Seconds is simple - choose an epic movie clip from films past, re‐shoot it in 48 seconds with a savvy ‘V’ twist, and slap it up on You Tube.

An expert judging panel including Outrageous Fortune’s Robyn Malcolm and entertainment reporter David Farrier will choose the ‘V’ 48Seconds winner who will walk away with $1000 cash, a year’s supply of ‘V’, four iPod Nano’s, a 37” Toshiba TV, a whole lot of ‘V’ merchandise and a V48HOURS 2008 DVD. Plus if the winner goes on to compete in the ‘V’ Energy 48HOURS competition, they’ll also win the use of the ‘V’ Energy Hi-riser 13 metres up for their shoot. Oh, and did we mention the winning film will be played to the nation on C4?

There will also be four runner-up prizes, each including ‘V’ product and merchandise, four iPod shuffles, a Samsung DVD player and a ‘V’ Energy 48Hours 2008 DVD; plus the movie will appear on C4.

So if you think you’ve got what it takes to make an extraordinary, super-short film, register at www.vrepublic.co.nz and get cracking.
