iTicket And Mukuna Unite To Offer Express Ticketing

Auckland, April 27 2009 – Local Kiwi ticketing pioneers iTICKET and online gig guide Mukuna have joined forces to launch a low cost express ticketing service.

The launch of ITICKET Express means there is now a one stop shop where punters can find the best gigs, dance parties and festivals and conveniently buy a ticket at the same time - with no booking fees.

iTICKET Express is a cut-down ticketing service for promoters who may currently sell pre-sales or rely on door sales alone. The express ticketing service does away with traditional ticketing that adds extra costs.

Promoters will soon be able to set up ticketing at the same time as listing their events on the popular Mukuna gig guide website. The new partnership will allow promoters to upload and manage their own event ticketing online. Tickets are in digital format only and promoters have the option to use a hand held scanner to validate tickets on entry to events.

Promoters can also order pre-printed tickets at the same time should they wish to compliment their online sales using traditional tickets via their own arrangements.

The service will cater especially well for gigs, concerts and dance party events but is equally suitable for festivals and other general admission events requiring online ticketing. The launch conveniently coincides with NZ Music Month and features the P-Money Club Tour as the first event to go on sale through Express.

We are thrilled to be working with Mukuna to launch iTICKET Express. Over the last six months the demand for a no-frills online ticketing agency has grown hugely,” says iTICKET director Reece Preston.

We believe that our new express service meets this need. In these current economic times it makes sense to do away with extra fees where possible, and the smart technology and DIY automation of iTICKET Express enables us to do this.”

To celebrate the launch, iTICKET Express are offering promoters a free trial: No service fee on the first 300 tickets to your first event ticketed through iTICKET Express.
