Artists Confirmed For Careers Festival Event
Careers In The Arts will take place on Sunday 17 May, 1-3pm at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery. This free public discussion will include talks by the following artists:
• Anthonnie Tonnon
- musician, performer, writer.
Performs and records with
Tono and the Finance Company, also writes for Critic,
National Radio and is a local tour guide.
• Nicola
Gibbons - visual artist (paintings/prints)
Featured in
Warwick Brown's 'Seen this Century' 100 Contemporary NZ
artists; also works for Dunedin Fringe Festival and Hocken
Library.
• Elizabeth van der Burg - product
designer, graphic designer, web designer.
Owns/operates
Ooid Design makers of Spout Bags and the Belong Badge
Project; has established international distribution of
products.
Antony Deaker from the Artist
Development Agency will also be speaking. Anyone considering
a career in the arts is encouraged to attend this event,
being held in conjunction with the Otago Careers
Festival.
