Bomber back on air with news satire

Media Release: June 24 2009
Bomber back on air with news satire

New Zealand’s “most opinionated man”* Martyn Bomber Bradbury is back to serve up his satirical brand of alternative media commentary to anyone who finds today’s mainstream, corporate-owned news offerings a tad unpalatable.

He says “Bomber’s Blog” on Triangle and Stratos Television will be a weekly blast of bone-cuttingly honest opinion, targeting corporate news media and the politics it reports.

“This show is comprised of 90% satire, 5% news media, 5% percent alcohol and 100% un-secured AAA rated financing”, says Bomber.

“I look forward to showing up week after week to tell it like it is and jimmy around inside the boundaries of broadcasting standards, by about one centimetre,” he says.

Drawing inspiration from the new wave of news satire that has been rocking political boats all over the Western World, Bomber’s Blog will strive to match the likes of The Daily Show and Colbert Report - minus the funny writers!

Catch Bomber’s Blog first on Wednesday July 1 at 7.45 pm then, from July 9 every Thursday at 9.15pm on Triangle TV (Channel 41, 42 and 52 and Telstra Clear Channel 50), or on Stratos Television (SKY Digital 89 and Freeview 21).
