MTV In July: It’ll Be A “Scream”!

MTV’s NEW ZEALAND’S JULY 2009 PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS

SCREAM QUEENS, BRITNEY VS THE WORLD AND NEW MTV CRIBS

AUCKLAND, FRIDAY 26th June, 2009 – MTV New Zealand’s July programming sees a little bit of fright, a little bit of suspense and a little bit of glamour.

Ten unknown actresses have been assembled and will battle it out for a lucrative roll in the next movie from the “Saw” horror franchise, as Scream Queens begins Tuesday July 21st at 9pm and hunts for that one lady to grab the “horror movie girl” break out role. The contest is not only fought amongst bugs, blood and gore to test the prospective Queen’s nerves, but also acting across from A-list acting talent also.

The contestants will be tested on their strength, smarts and talent while being put through an intense horror movie boot camp, weeding nine contestants out until there is only one survivor left; to use an old horror adage to sum the proceeding up, it’s a case of “who will survive and what will be left of them?

She may have had one of the most public falls from grace, but Britney Spears has also proved she can not only reinvent herself, but can also rise from her ashes. Britney vs. The World Top 20 highlights the celebrities that have come in and out of the pop princess’ life on Saturday July 18th at 5pm. Whether it be for the better (Madonna, Justin Timberlake) or the worst (K-Fed, anyone?). From that kiss with Madonna to Timberlake's revenge for Britney cheating, MTV bow before her royal highness of pop; Britney is here to stay!
