Chance to win 24 kiwi holidays in 48 hours
International NZ fans get chance to win 24 kiwi holidays in 48 hours;
Tourism operators all over the country have got on board the Gotta Love NZ project and offered campervans, accommodation, bungy jumps, swimming with dolphins and much more as their contribution to reach 32 million worldwide and invite them to visit NZ.
The missing part of the jigsaw is to get an airline to partner with them.
Four kiwi guys are behind a unique campaign to bring the rest of the world to NZ and have a holiday! Starting with 40,000 facebook fans, from all over the world, they have devised a social marketing competiton that has the potential to have over 32 million people look at New Zealand within 48 hours.
It all started 8 months ago, Mark Harrison started a Facebook fanpage NEW ZEALAND. He forgot about it, went back to his security fencing business and found he had 31,000 fans, including John Key. Today it now has 39 602 fans worldwide and growing….
How to use this massive fan base and encourage people to visit NZ?
Talking to mates at JUCY Rentals (NZ’s fastest growing rental car and camper company) and Netfinity, (NZ’s only social media competition software developers) the four guys came up with an idea on how to use these fans to encourage travel to New Zealand. Social media is the fastest growing movement in the world and so GOTTA LOVE NZ was born.
The first thing the site is going to do to get more people to fall in love with NZ is to run a competition giving away 24 ultimate kiwi holiday packages to NZ from all over the world – not just an air fare but the whole holiday!
The team say if
they can’t get an airline they might just fund it
ourselves.
"Says Mark Harrison, "We really think it is a
fantastic opportunity for an airline and it will give them
access to a huge database in a very short time of people who
genuinely want to travel here.
"Most of the people who win will want to pay for a trip for their partner. And all those who miss out will be offered special deals to see NZ," he ends.
The Gotta Love NZ campaign is planning
to invite people to register shortly.
What can we expect from the Gotta Love NZ campaign?
•
Currently GLNZ has 39,602 Facebook fans, and a further 7,000
Spreadit followers
• From a random sample of 30
NZ Facebook fans the average number of their friends is
292.
• If 60% of the 40,000 Facebook
“followers” register for the competition, that’s
24,000 entries.
• If 40 % of their friends are
on line and see their mates are entering a free holiday
competition. That 2 million people who might choose to enter
the holiday competition.
• Total people who
might see the status updates/posts in the first ten minutes
= 2,808,000.
• If 10% are interested enough to
sign up. That’s 280,000.
• If 40 % of the
280,000 share with their friends that’s over 32 million
people seeing NZ.
