Great Start to August for Three Lotto Players

Great Start to August for Three Lotto Players in Auckland, Hamilton and Nelson

It’s the start of a new month and August 1st will be a date to remember for three Lotto players in Auckland, Hamilton and Nelson after each winning $333,333 tonight on Lotto’s First Division, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive Todd McLeay.

“What a great start to August for our latest First Division winners who can now look forward to the end of winter with some extra cash in their bank accounts,” says Mr McLeay.

The winning tickets were sold at MyLotto in Auckland, Te Rapa Lucky Lotto Store in Hamilton and Pak’n’Save Richmond in Nelson.

A Lotto Strike prize of $152,340 was also struck this week by a player who bought a ticket at One Step Ahead in Ponsonby, Auckland

In addition, Lotto Powerball has also jackpotted this week, and will be worth an estimated $9 million in next Saturday’s draw.

Tonight’s other big winners were a Mangawhai family syndicate who spun and won $100,000 on Lotto’s Winning Wheel. John Young, his partner Mariel Eddy, Mariel’s son Darren and his partner Lisa make up the syndicate of four who hail from Mangawhai, north of Auckland.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Ideal Store in Gisborne. The serial number is 433-45285651-20XX.

“Anyone who bought a ticket at these retailers should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible at any NZ Lotteries’ outlet."
