Media Release

August 12th 2009

Discover a Different Way of Living, Renovating and Re-decorating at the 2009 Yellow™ Auckland Home Show

Only at the Yellow™ Auckland Home Show, ASB Showgrounds, Wednesday 9th September to Sunday 13th 2009, can you design your garden, plan your renovation, learn about colour trends, see cooking shows and more, all under one roof! But wait, there’s more, with seminars on how to maximise your property investment, renovate on a shoe-string or discover how to be more environmentally economic at the same time. Talk about multi-tasking! This show is a must-see for all home owners.

With a theme of ‘A Different Way of Living’, visitors this year can expect to find hundreds of creative ideas on how to make the most of their homes within budget or beyond. And in addition, a lineup of stimulating and informative attractions will keep visitors informed and inspired for all five days.

The Floradell Street of Houses returns, a cul de sac of inspiration featuring ready-built homes complete with gardens and landscaping co-ordinated by the legendary Jim Townsend. The entrance to the street will feature a large Floradell display, designed this time around the theme of ‘escape to the bach.’ And with tropical gardens and innovative water features, there’s plenty to inspire for building and gardening ideas.

The Fisher & Paykel World Cooking Theatre will take visitors on a tasting trip around the globe. The 2009 timetable is packed with classes demonstrating exotic recipes, sweet treats, and fine dining tips. From seafood delights to canapés you can make at home, Croatian, Asian cuisine and baking, every meal of the day is covered! Pick up some great recipe ideas and cooking tips from New Zealand’s greatest chefs.
